Gloria Victis Crafting & Economy Guide
A deep, player-driven economy — every weapon on the field was crafted by a player.
Crafting isn't a side activity in Gloria Victis — it's the engine of the whole economy. Every weapon and piece of armor on the battlefield was made by a player, which is why gatherers and crafters genuinely matter. MMORPG.com: territory control ↗
Mining & Metallurgy
Mine ore and clay, smelt into ingots and alloys — the backbone of weapons and armor.
Weapon Forging
Forge swords, spears, axes and maces; higher skill rolls higher quality (+1 up to +6).
Armorsmithing
Heavy plate and mail — the gear that decides who survives the front line.
Forestry & Hunting
Fell trees for wood billets and hunt for hides and meat — raw materials for everyone.
Tailoring & Leatherworking
Cloth and leather goods, light armor, and components for other crafts.
Herbalism & Alchemy
Gather herbs and brew medicines, cures and combat consumables.
Engineering
Build the siege and defense machines — ballistae, trebuchets, rams — that win castles.
Woodworking
Bows, military wood, and furniture for player settlements.
Husbandry & Culinary Arts
Grow crops and cook food; good food buffs you, going hungry debuffs you.
Artificing
Craft accessories and the finishing pieces of a full loadout.
Quality matters
Crafted gear has a quality grade (roughly +1 up to +6). The more your skill exceeds a recipe's minimum, the higher quality you can roll — which is exactly why geared veterans hit so hard (see the gear gap). Selling high-quality crafted gear is also one of the best ways to make gold.
