The endgame of Gloria Victis is territory. The map is a feudal hierarchy of regions, keeps, towns and castles that guilds fight to control — and holding them grants your whole nation bonuses (looting chance, crafting chance, XP). MMORPG.com: territory control ↗
Settlements
- Castles — defense-focused, with stone walls, tower ballistae and boiling-water pots.
- Towns — economic hubs with marketplaces and crafting stations.
- Keeps — mid-size holds; you usually must take a town/castle's keeps before the main structure.
Sieges are open-world
No instances. Attackers set up siege camps and deploy stationary machines (ballista, trebuchet) plus mobile gear (rams, ladders); both sides have limited respawns; capturing the main flag takes the structure. The vassal system lets owners rent parcels to smaller guilds who develop them and pay taxes — so you don't have to be a mega-guild to join territorial play.
