Is Gloria Victis Outdated? Graphics & Performance
Yes, it's dated — what that means for visuals and performance.
Yes, it looks and feels dated — and you should know that before installing. Gloria Victis runs on an older engine (its roots go back to ~2014), so the visuals, animations and UI won't impress anyone spoiled by recent AAA MMOs. "Outdated" and "clunky" are the most common first impressions, and they're honest.
Performance reality
- It's light on most hardware — you don't need a powerful GPU (see system requirements).
- The stress moment is big sieges: lots of players in one place is CPU- and network-heavy, and framerate can dip exactly when the action peaks.
- Players have cited performance and slow development as past frustrations — gamigo's relaunch and the State of War update are the things to watch on that front.
Codex take: Gloria Victis is a systems game, not a graphics showcase. If dated visuals and occasional siege jank are dealbreakers, this isn't your MMO. If you're here for the three-faction war, the player economy and skill-based combat, the look stops mattering after an hour.
