Gloria Victis PvE: Dungeons, Questing & Gathering (Honest)
Dungeons can be fun, questing is thin — PvE is the support act here.
Honest answer: Gloria Victis is a PvP-first game, and the PvE is the supporting cast. There is PvE — open-world mobs, dungeons, gathering and questing — but it exists mainly to gear and level you for the real content, which is the war over territory.
What the PvE is actually like
- Dungeons can be genuinely fun and are a solid group activity — a bright spot players call out.
- Questing is widely considered weak — thin and grindy. Don't expect a story themepark.
- Gathering & crafting are deep but can feel slow, especially early — that's a real, recurring complaint, so pace yourself and specialize (see crafting).
- Mob respawn can be fast enough to break immersion in some spots.
Codex take: Treat PvE as the economy and the on-ramp, not the destination. If you want a PvE-led adventure with great questing, Gloria Victis will disappoint — and that's exactly what its reviews say. Come for the PvP and territory; enjoy dungeons and crafting as the support loop.
